Austrian national born in 1961, Mr. Kriegner was appointed as Head of Asia Pacific and member of the Group Executive Committee of Holcim in August 2016. Since October 2022 he is the Region Head for Asia, Middle East & Africa. Mr. Kriegner joined the Holcim Group in 1990 and has held various senior leadership roles within Europe and Asia. He moved to India as CEO 2002 and later served as Regional President Cement for Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur. In 2012, he was appointed CEO for Cement, RMX and Aggregates in India. In July 2015 he became the company’s Area Manager Central Europe. Mr. Kriegner has a long association with the Company. He already served as director of the Company from April 2017 to April 2018. He was again appointed as a director of the Company in January 2023. Mr. Martin Kriegner today is a member of the board of directors of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Ltd listed on the Chittagong Stock Exchange and the Dhaka Stock Exchange (Bangladesh) and LafargeHolcim Maroc S.A. listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange (Morocco). Mr. Kriegner is a graduate of Vienna University and holds a Doctorate in Law. He also obtained an MBA at the University of Economics in Vienna.
